John Lowther
CA BCom MComLaw(Hons) MTaxS(Hons)
John is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and holds a Public Practice Certificate. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, a Masters of Commercial Law degree with Honours and a Masters in Taxation Studies with Honours from Auckland University.

John has run a number of small business including a yacht charter, radio stations and farm sales and services. He is the independent director of several companies, trustee for trust clients that take advantage of the Lowthers Trust service and the principal of Lowthers Chartered Accountants. (Established 2000)
John has a formidable range of expertise and experience and a profound interest in taxation matters. He often represents clients on IRD issues including negotiation and has previously appeared before the taxation review committee on behalf of a client. John’s knowledge of tax law has been a great asset to many clients that find themselves in dispute with the Commissioner of Inland Revenue. His client portfolio includes a number of major companies and professional firms whom he advises on a wide range of commercial issues.
